Bit-O- Honey

Not long ago, my family had lunch at Cracker Barrel. I love that place, though I sometimes think their portions are a little on the small side.

Their adjacent gift shop has a lot of nice things, especially in the snack section. I usually don't partake, but this time I think I was in a weakened state and I purchased two "Bit-O-Honey" bars. I'm not sure if you're familiar with them but basically they are peanut flavored taffy pieces that are wrapped in white wax paper and sold with the candy bars.


The candy itself is great, but I have learned that you have to be prepared for the inevitable if you choose to eat a "Bit-O-Honey." It is nearly impossible to get the wax paper completely off the candy. With each bite, you are forced to eat a postage stamp piece of paper.

I find myself debating before each bite whether I should go through with it or not. Is the paper that seems to stay stuck in my throat worth the peanutty goodness?

Simple answer... "YES."
