Iced Coffee

I don't have much to say today, other than I have spent two wonderful days this week enjoying large portions of iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts.
When the Fall season begins, I crave coffee constantly (after spending a hot summer avoiding it). But it's not quite Fall yet and the weather continues to be relatively warm. What is the compromise solution to my craving? Iced coffee.
My recommendation is that you don't ruin it with flavor syrups. Just order it regular, with cream and sugar. Then sip and enjoy.

Your blog is great. I'm sure you'd be interested in internet marketing. It isn't anything special but have a look at internet marketing.
It is always good. Sara
I have found that most DD servers have delusions of adequacy when is comes to filling orders to the specs given by the customer. What baffles me is that you can go to the same server 3 times and order the same exact thing every time and get 3 different results. Then they want a tip (tax-free I might add, you know they ain't claiming the coins in that cup). The only thing worse than DD workers are DD customers, you know the ones I am talking about. It seems DD (throw in Starbucks and the rest) exist to serve a social purpose, and that purpose is: to give persons who have no decision making abilities to make 3-4 decisions all at once, they are now fulfilled and can go on with their day with sense of accomplishment.
I will admit I do occasionally splurge and order a large iced from "Dunks" I order it black though, and bring it home and make it myself. Mostly I like to make my own iced coffee at home. I have solved the sugar-in-the-bottom problem by using simple syrup: Take equal parts sugar/water. Dissolve sugar in hot water, and then chill in the fridge. I keep it in an old SnappleĀ® bottle. A little goes a long way when you use 1:1 ratio, a couple of spoonfuls worth for a medium sized Dunkin Iced will get you to "regular".
On a related note, a bit of trivia: The yield from one coffee bean tree (or bush, whatever) is about 1 pound per year (or coffee season) that means I go through about a tree a week. There's a hillside in Columbia somewhere dedicated to growing me enough coffee for the next year.
Even though this comment is already long enough I am throwing in a list of euphemisms for Dunkin Donuts that I have heard used:
~Dunkin Dees
~Double Dee
~Dunks
~Dunky Dees
~Dunkin Diggidy
~Dunk-a-lunk
~Dunkity Dees
~Dunkity-doo
~Dunkin-junk
~The Dunktion Junction
~Funkin Gonuts
~Caffine-nation (this one is very local it is a take on Red Sox "Nation")
Did I miss any?
Now I don't know about this Iced Coffee but I myself am completely addicted to Starbucks' Vanilla Frappuccino. I'll try this D.D.I.C. after reading this entry though.
Iced coffee gives me heartburn but I do enjoy a nice Vanilla Frappucino from Starbucks (as opposed to a mean one).
I will try to remember to try a Vanilla Frappucino in honor of both Sujay and Erin the next time I am at Starbucks.
By the way, I enjoyed my third iced coffee from DD today.
Added note: you can get Frappuccinos almost anywhere now. Gas stations, Wal-Mart, check stores.
My wife LOVES the iced white choclate mocha from starbucks. I am strictly a cafe mocha hotno sugar no whipped (my 4 decisions for the day) when it comes to starbucks, sometimes with biscotti (because that's a 5th decision), sometimes not.
i heart iced coffee!
I love iced coffee.
Does anyone know the recipe to this vanilla iced coffee?
